A few of these have already shown plenty of ability, including Far Hope, but the other previous winner BADLANDS gets the vote. He scrambled home at Newbury last time but still looked raw and his breeding suggests this extra furlong may bring about more improvement from him. Adam West’s mare COULDN’T COULD SHE won this race two years ago and remains on a winning mark, with her recent encouraging return at Lingfield setting her up nicely for this repeat bid. The market may indicate what is expected from Summer Valley, who needs a look on her return from a lengthy absence.

Harlequin Rose has a good record here and is respected after her April run, when finishing alongside stablemate Rinty Maginty. However, DAWN VIEW has been in particularly good form here of late and ought to be hard to beat providing this race doesn’t come too soon after her Friday win. Cap D’antibes is the other who should be considered.
