13:25 Dig Two
DIG TWO left his debut effort well behind to score at Newmarket earlier this month, briefly looking ill at ease on the track but rallying to lead late on. He looks the type to progress again and should be capable of going in again here under a penalty. The main danger could be Showmedemoney, who was doing his best work at the finish on debut 18 days ago, ahead of newcomer Brilliant News.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
14:00 Lady Monica
LADY MONICA ran well on her debut for Mick Appleby earlier in the month and she should be able to take a step forward to gain a second career success here. Tavrina disappointed last time, but was in good form prior to that and she could bounce back. Aguerooo is a consistent course and distance winner that has to be respected.
14:35 The Night Watch
A chance is taken on THE NIGHT WATCH, who won off a mark of 80 two years ago for William Haggas. He’s having just his second start for Charlie Wallis and could stage a revival at some point. Delagate The Lady should appreciate the return to polytrack and she has to be respected. Edessann is becoming well treated and he is worth considering.
15:10 Spirituoso
SPIRITUOSO is more exposed than a couple in here, but she has some decent form to her name and was only just denied over course and distance back in March. She may be able to gain a first career success. Sim Card disappointed when upped in trip at Yarmouth last time and he should appreciate the drop back to a mile. Alhaajeb is unexposed and can’t be ruled out.
15:45 Givepeaceachance
GIVEPEACEACHANCE was unlucky at Wolverhampton last time, and she can make amends here off the same mark. Promising apprentice Laura Pearson keeps the ride, and she looks the one to side with. Peat Moss has to be respected in his bid to follow up his Lingfield win. Dynali has each-way claims too.
16:15 Highfield Princess
HIGHFIELD PRINCESS has a tremendous record over this course and distance, and she continued her progression at Haydock on Friday evening with an emphatic win. She should be able to quickly follow up under a penalty here. Lethal Talent has a good record on polytrack and she has to be taken seriously. Harrison Point is a decent each-way proposition too.
16:50 Dark Croccodile
A wide-open handicap in which DARK CROCCODILE could offer some value. He caught the eye on his first start for this stable at Kempton last month before not benefiting from the step up in trip last time out.
Dropping back to 7 furlongs, he could go well. Bartat is on an attractive-looking mark and has to be respected. Dusty Damsel should go close with Buick taking the ride too.
17:25 Last Date
An uncompetitive affair and LAST DATE could bounce back from his disappointment here last time. A first time visor could perk him up and he makes most appeal. Frow shouldn’t be far away on his recent efforts and rates as the main danger. Aramis Grey can’t be ruled out either.
17:55 Morty
MORTY hasn’t gone without promise in a trio of quick-fire runs in maidens this spring and he could be worth siding with to step up now his sights are set on handicaps operating from his low opening mark. Mehmo remains a maiden, but is a big player on her latest Musselburgh second. Needwood Blossom and Red Walls complete the shortlist.
