Several to consider, including the pair at the foot of the handicap, who are both in fine form, while Lord Schnapps needs careful monitoring in the market. Wagner is due to go up 2lb in future after last week’s C&D effort and may be the main danger to CANDY BURG, who can add to his impressive record as a chaser.

14:05 Blazing Saddles (NAP)

Ranco will be a danger if transferring his recent Flat form on this handicap debut but the safest option looks to be BLAZING SADDLES (nap), after another good effort last week.

14:40 Whitlock

Lost History could be a revelation now he’s joined Dan Skelton but WHITLOCK is a solid option after his Plumpton success.

15:15 Terrafirma Lady

This might not take much winning. Kentford Mallard has the best recent form but last week’s effort needs forgiving. TERRAFIRMA LADY might find conditions more to her liking and is given a tentative vote.
