Cute cash out lands Paddy Power punter almost €20k from just €4 stake

This was one hell of a call from our winner.

Aintree-Grand-National-field

Another fantastic three days at Aintree has gone into the history books, but Friday’s second day at the festival will live long in the memory of one of our Irish punters after a clever call to cash out netted a whopping total of €19,671 off just a €4 stake.

Our winner – who hails from Co Waterford in Ireland – placed a speculative accumulator on all the day’s racing at the Liverpool track, and after the proceedings got underway, our victor watched leg after leg of the accumulator come up, but then had a huge call to make.

We’ll get to take shortly, but let’s tell you how the loot was landed.

New to Paddy Power?

Denise Foster’s TRONADOR was the first name on the winning betslip in the 13:45 at Aintree and the gelding proved to be an outstanding choice, beating tasty odds of 22/1 to take the opener on the card. He needed a shake up from Jack Kennedy in the saddle two out, but took the lead at the last and saw off Dans Le Vent by 2-and-a-half lengths to give the acca the perfect start.

BELFAST BANTER (9/1) was on the chopping block after that in the 14:20 contest, and this one proved to be the tightest affair of the day for our customer. Peter Fahey’s charge was challenged in the run-in by Do Your Job, but rode on well to win by just a length-and-a-quarter in the end.

The 14:50 race was next on the hit list and our victor’s hopes were on CHANTRY HOUSE (11/8F) to make it three-from-three to keep the ball rolling. Our punter could have kicked up his feet to relax though, as Nicky Henderson’s gelding was given a brilliant ride by Nico de Boinville and passed the winning post a stunning 32 lengths in front of runner-up Shan Blue to fully justify his favourite tag.

That took the punt to the halfway point, and FAKIR D’OUDAIRIES (3/1F) moved it closer to home in the 15:25. The Joseph O’Brien-trained runner needed a reminder from Mark Walsh in the saddle three obstacles from home and it was exactly what was needed as he beat Nuts Well into second by 11 lengths.

But, then it was decision time!

With four winners up and just two races remaining, a cash-out sum of €19,671 was there for our customer to cash out. After what must have been a bit of soul searching, the choice was made to accept our offer and become a winner of a wonderful windfall before the last couple of legs on the bet.

The dream would have still been alive after five races when Livelovelaugh did the business for Willie Mullins in the 16:05 race at 15/2. The gelding nearly made all around the Liverpool racecourse to score a four-and-a-half length success from Pink Eyed Pedro in second spot.

However, when Bold Enough could only finish third in the final race of the day, cashing out proved to be the right decision as our winner would have got nothing had the bet been left play out. Well done on making a great call and enjoy the winnings!
