Cheltenham Festival: Where did Nicky Henderson’s horses finish at 2021 meeting?

Nicky Henderson bagged a couple of Grade 1 wins at Prestbury Park

While the Irish may have dominated the 2021 Cheltenham Festival, winning the Prestbury Cup 23-5, Nicky Henderson still managed to land some spectacular victories this year.

The 70-year-old saddled Shishkin, who pulled off a dominant victory in the Arkle Chase, and also trained Marsh Novices’ Chase winner Chantry House – who profited from Envoi Allen’s surprise fall.

Unfortunately Epatante was unable to see off the challenge from Honeysuckle and retain the Champion Hurdle, although the seven-year-old did run into a place, while both Champ and Santini pulled up in the Gold Cup.

Henderson’s legendary Altior did not run in the Queen Mother Champion Chase after returning an unsatisfactory scope on the eve of the Festival, but we hope the master of Seven Barrows and his star performer will be back for another crack in 2022.
