Since Thomas Tuchel has taken over at Chelsea they’ve played 11 games in all competitions winning eight and drawing three. The Blues are now a solid fourth in the Premier League Table and look set to cement that position with victory in the early Premier League kick-off at 12.30pm at Elland Road. Tuchel has clearly prioritised building a strong defence at Chelsea and this can be seen in the fact that they’ve only conceded two goals since he took the reins at Stamford Bridge in late January.
Leeds on the other hand aren’t at their best having lost eight of their last 12 matches in all competitions and certainly won’t relish Chelsea’s visit off the back of two recent Premier League defeats. Chelsea to win to nil looks a solid play but I’m happy to just take them to win for NAP purposes.
Saturday, 15:55 at Navan – Daly Tiger
Robert Catterson
A winner of two competitive handicaps already this season, Noel Meade’s Daly Tiger was no match for Cilaos Emery at Naas 13 days ago. This looks a much easier task for the eight-year-old though and the conditions of the race favour him greatly given that if this was a handicap, he’d be giving weight all round.
Instead, he’s getting weight off both Castlegrace Paddy and Any Second Now, who have both been out of form, and it would be a surprise if Daly Tiger wasn’t up to winning this Grade two contest.
Saturday, 21:38 at Shelbourne Park – Great Name That
Aoife Corrigan
There’s a super line up of runners in the Easter Cup Final at Shelbourne Park on Saturday night. I fancy Liam Dowling’s runner in Trap one – Great Name That. This son of Droopys Jet was runner up in the kingdom derby before Christmas.
He won his opening round heat of this Easter Cup and has subsequently finished second in the last two rounds. I think he is better drawn on the fence for the big final as he showed when flying around this circuit back in December where he posted a 29.33 clock from this box. I reckon if this big 80lbs dog traps on terms he should have a huge say in what looks like a cracking final.

Sunday, 15:00 in Scotland v Ireland – Ireland (-2 hcp)
Justin Kenny
Scotland not playing in the Six Nations last time due to Covid issues in the French camp can’t have been easy for the Scotland players and management. What makes things worse is that their last game was a sickening defeat to Wales, a game they should have won.
Ireland, for a change, have had a good preparation with a confidence-boosting win against Italy. Andy Farrell for the first time will have a full-strength squad to pick from in a must-win game. A cold and miserable Edinburgh with no crowds will also be no advantage to the home side. I take Ireland to cover the handicap as my NAP of the weekend.
