It might not have the glitz and the glamour of a Grade 1 but all roads lead to Cheltenham for handicap hurdlers aged five years and older – and the Pertemps Network Final always delivers in spades.
The name of the race might imply that each qualifier has overcome plenty of opposition but all a horse has to do to punch their ticket is place in the top six in one of the qualification races during the preceding five months.

The coronavirus-plagued 2020/21 season reduced the number of races in Great Britain to 14 while just two were slated for Ireland. The Irish have taken charge of the last five renewals – so the question is, can a British-trained horse end their dominance?
