Paddy Power Millionaire Chase: Watch the £1m sweepstake draw

UPDATE: The Cheltenham meeting on Saturday has been abandoned after an inspection on Friday morning. We’ll be communicating alternative plans shortly. Who knew it’d be so hard to give away a million quid?

The much-anticipated Paddy Power Millionaire Chase finally runs on Saturday after being rearranged from the weather-abandoned New Year’s Day meeting at Cheltenham. And that means it’s time to designate the runners to our lucky entrants.

Paddy’s giving away £1m to the backer of the winning horse and you can watch the live draw tonight on Paddy’s Facebook page from 6pm.

No idea what we’re going on about? Where have you been!? Basically, Paddy decided to help one of his lucky punters kick-off 2021 with a bang by giving away £1m in the Millionaire’s Chase at Cheltenham on New Year’s Day. Mother nature was against us then, so we’ve rescheduled for the 13:50 at Cheltenham this Saturday the 30th of January.

Entrants who opted in had the chance to secure their spot in the lucrative sweepstake by backing winning horses in six qualifying races. Backers of the winning horses in pre-selected races were submitted into Paddy’s Windows 98-powered supercomputer with one winner per week making it through to the final race.

All of our weekly winners have already pocketed £/€10,000 and could land a further £/€990,000 on Saturday.

Three more Paddy’s Rewards Club qualifiers then joined our weekly winners, and two more entrants will be given a shot at claiming the £1m prize in a wildcard draw from entrants over Christmas before the main event of the sweepstake gets underway tonight.

So, check back here tonight or get your eyes on Paddy’s Facebook and Twitter pages for the live draw to see which horse our entrants will be backing on Saturday. Remember, if you qualified through our wildcard opt-in over Christmas there are still two spots in the final up for grabs.
