Punters who backed First Flow to win the second Paddy Power Millionaire Chase qualifier will be feeling double delight knowing their name is safely into the hat for the next sweepstake draw for the £1m New Year’s Day race.

Gino Trail made the early running and was travelling nicely at a brisk pace but Abbey Magic hit the front with three left to jump. A couple of scrappy fences from the frontrunners saw First Flow seize an opportunity to burst away.

That charge was was well timed and much needed as Amoola Gold powered home but couldn’t make up the deficit that stretched to around three lengths. However, First Flow had enough in the tank to hold off the charge and put his backers into the hat for the Millionaire Chase sweepstake! Congratulations to out top pundits Frank Hickey and Matt Chapman who tipped up the winner.

If you backed First Flow make sure you keep your eye on Paddy’s social channels for the draw on Monday to see if you will join Carol from Co Cork in the sweepstake for a shot at the £1m. Everyone who makes it into the final sweepstake also gets £10,000!

If you backed a dud or missed the memo this week, fear not as there are still four more chances to turn your £5 into £1m, starting next Saturday at Newbury in the 3pm race. So, get studying that form now!.

Remember, you have to Opt-In every time you go to back a horse in a Millionaire Chase qualifier, which you can do from Thursday. If you don’t you won’t make it into the sweepstake draw even if you pick the winner.
