Saturday
12:15 Marseille-Borely – Kenway (Lorcan O’ Rourke)

Having shown a lot of promise as a two-year-old, KENWAY has failed to progress into the Group 1 performer connections will have hoped for. Despite this he has been consistent throughout a busy season, having got back to winning ways last time in a minor event off a well needed two-month break. He should get a nice pace set up from Diamond Vendome and Skazino and come with a run late on to take this Listed contest.

13:25 Punchestown – Flying Scotsman (Allan Byrne)

FLYING SCOTSMAN landed a few touches at Galway when winning twice in the week and he is a very interesting runner here in a three-year-old Hurdle. He has a rating of 87 on the Flat and if he can transfer that ability over hurdles then he should be very hard beat here.

13:40 Cheltenham – Fusil Raffles (Adam Killeen)

FUSIL RAFFLES latest start over course and distance looked an excellent performance. It wasn’t a great field, but he absolutely destroyed them and the time compared very favourably with Rouge Vif on the same card. Considering his lack of experience going into the race that is really impressive and he looks like he will be very hard to beat here.

14:15 Cheltenham – Al Dancer (Jamie Smyth)

AL DANCER showed the step up in trip was in his favour when beating Master Tommytucker on his seasonal reappearance and looks to have rock solid each-way claims with Paddy paying an extremely generous six places in this race. He has plenty of strong course form, including a creditable second when facing a difficult task at the weights against the subsequent Arkle winner at this meeting last season.

The expected deterioration in ground conditions with heavy rain forecast won’t be an issue and the yard is also beginning to hit form after a quieter than normal start to the season. This is an extremely competitive renewal of this great race, but Al Dancer has lots in his favour and looks sure to give his supporters a good run for their money.

15:25 Cheltenham – Son Of Camas (Frank Hickey)

SON OF CAMAS was highly tried last season with his last two starts coming in the Grade 1 Tolworth and Ballymore Novices Hurdle. While he found that grade too hot, he makes plenty of appeal now going handicapping off what could prove to be a very attractive opening mark of 133.

He won a bumper and novice hurdle in Newbury last season, and in that hurdle race the horses that followed him home are now rated 140, 127 and 138 respectively. Son Of Camas has had his wind operation done in the interim and he looks the most interesting horse in the race by a long way.

National Hunt race Champion Bumper

Sunday
14:25 Cheltenham – Defi Du Seuil (Allan Byrne)

DEFI DU SEUIL is the best horse in the race and should be winning this if they want to be back here in March for the Champion Chase. He was obviously very disappointing when beaten in this year’s renewal in March, but that wasn’t his true running and he has a fair chance to get back to winning ways here.

15:00 Cheltenham – Ballyandy (Adam Killeen)

A veteran at this stage, BALLYANDY definitely doesn’t have the sexy profile of some of his rivals here, but that shouldn’t put you off. He has some excellent course form and is coming off a great run at Ffos Las where he only found the well treated Sceau Royal too strong. He looks to have a massive chance here once again and with Paddy paying six places looks a cracking each-way bet.
