I was waiting to see the jockeys for Joseph O’Brien’s two horses, but I had my eye on ANYTHING WILL DO – mainly because I thought it would be a funny joke when Tom Nugent asks me who I fancy in the race and I say ‘ah Anything Will Do’.
But really, I fancy Anything Will Do or HOME BY THE LEE – whichever one is the stable jockey’s selection.
Niall has gone for Cap York, but I have to go for his stable companion THE CADDY ROSE. The Meade yard is going pretty well and the horse is pretty consistent. He’s getting plenty of weight in hand compared to others and I think he might just be a bit ahead of the handicapper.

Paddy Power has revealed his top tips prior to racing at Naas and Cork on Sunday, including the aptly-named Anything Will Do.
Speaking on the latest episode of our twice-weekly From The Horse’s Mouth podcast, the main man has selected the Joseph O’Brien runner as a potential shout in the Paddy Power From The Horse’s Mouth Podcast EBF Novice Chase.
He also fancies a Noel Meade challenger in the Paddy Power Cork Grand National Handicap Chase and demonstrated his nous by copying expert tipster Niall O’Reilly’s advice ahead of the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Athasi Stakes at Naas.
2.00pm, Naas – Silk Forest
Niall O’Reilly made an excellent case for SILK FOREST – and I concur!
2.46pm, Cork – Anything Will Do/Home By The Lee
