Friendly has outstanding claims on the pick of her form, but with the ground likely to make this quite a test, and her stamina looking a little iffy, she has some questions to answer, and Zumoradda may well be able to confirm her recent superiority over her, but they will both have to go a bit to keep WINDSOR PASS at bay. The latter failed to run up to expectations on debut, but it was much more like it behind a subsequent Group 3 second when fourth back at Curragh, and a similar display could well suffice. Cartouche is not ruled out either.

Angel Palanas comes here in search of a four-timer on the back of a smart performance when completing his hat-trick at Leopardstown on Friday. He will be tough to beat, but MARMOLATA, fit from hurdling, is lurking dangerously further down the scale. An unexposed operator, she has gone close in a similar contest already, and should have more left in the locker. Johnny Levins fires five darts at the board, with Dark Magic the most likely of his team to stick. Lincoln is also worth a look.

An interesting contest, with the top three on the card Swiss Army Officer, Count Of Carabass and Sagittarius Rising all likely to attract much of the spotlight, likewise Born Invincible from the opposite end of the handicap. However, TAI SING YEH has already toppled the first three mentioned here in past encounters, and if he puts his best foot forward, he can recoup recent Cork losses.

Earls comes here in as good a shape as any, but a 7l defeat on his recent visit to Limerick is not exactly a near miss, and he is probably a shade vulnerable. GLOW WORM is clearly not easy to win with (0-20), but the majority of the recent evidence more than suggests she has what it takes to open her account in a contest like this one. Royal Hideaway is also interesting on handicap debut.

Previous C&D winner ENTER THE RED went closest to recording an eighth career win when second at the Curragh last Thursday and can go one better here off the same mark and on his favoured soft ground. Navan winner Pretty Smart rates a big threat, while, at a price, Via Veneto is a potential improver.

Market support for top-weight Fujimoto Flyer would be interesting but perhaps it’s best to stick with proven current form, none more so than LOUDEST WHISPER, up 9lb for a recent course and distance win but clearly in rude health. Vita Veritas may have run too soon after a good Navan run and could well bounce back on ground she likes, while Custers Mistake is a potential improver.

Conditions could get very testing here, no bother to THEFAITHFULINDIAN (nap), who bolted up at the Curragh last Thursday, prompting an 18lb rise from the handicapper. The fact the mare has only to shoulder a mandatory penalty here makes her hard to oppose. Another to carry a penalty, Sunday’s Naas winner Poster Child has much less in hand, having been raised 9lb and she is unproven over this longer trip. Make Good has shown promise of late without really putting it all in and first-time cheekpieces here could see improvement.
