Paddy’s racing punters are generally a pretty sharp lot. When they’re not racking up the winners at Redcar they’re plucking the very best punts at Plumpton.
And some of the very shrewdest selectors even pull the trick off on racing from around the world too.
If they weren’t such a great bunch of lads Paddy might get upset at all the winning.
Our latest entrant into Paddy’s Hall of Fame covered half the globe on Saturday evening as he scooped up a fantastic foursome at odds of 2,022/1 to secure sensational return on a .50p each-way bet – and all quicker than it takes your Saturday night takeaway to arrive!
This smart sort started out with a super run from Quillecano in the 9:06 at Santiago’s Hipódromo track way off at the other side of the world in Chile, who delivered a 16/1 return to bring up the first of his four wins. Very nice.
Just four minutes later, and somewhat closer to home – well in the same hemisphere anyway – My Miss Marilyn came steaming in at 10/3 to take top spot in the 9:10 at the Hawthorne racecourse near Chicago.
Yes, this punter likes to get around.
There was just five minutes to catch a breath before Regal Lady made a royal show of the rest at Golden Gate Fields – California now – in the 9:15 race at 5/1, bringing up leg three of this fab fourfold.
You’d think those three winners on their own would be enough, but this punter barely had time to consider a cash-out before Inthemidstofbiz was off and running to victory in the 9:18 at Keeneland in Kentucky for a finger-licking good 12/1 win to bring home all four winners and catch Paddy for £2,023.
And all wrapped up in time for the KFC bucket – or greasy face-stuffing meal of your choice – to land on your doorstep.
That’s probably the quickest entry in all of Paddy’s Hall of Fame punters.
Pat on the back for you, sir.
