Our trader is all in on the stable's runners on Wednesday.

It looks like Gordon Elliott will have a good day at Galway on Wednesday as a prelude to a really good month ahead. In the opening 2m 4f maiden hurdle, he saddles Ragnar Lodbrok who ran in some excellent bumpers last season.

His debut run saw him finish third behind Eric Bloodaxe and Ferny Hollow at Fairyhouse before he finished a nine length fourth to Appreciate It at Leopardstown. He was put away for the season then after that December run and starts back today. He should take top rank as the season progresses.

Paranoid has followed in the footsteps of Presenting Percy and Presenting Dylan and switched to Gordon Elliott’s from Pat Kelly’s yard. Presenting Dylan was an impressive winner at Roscommon last week on his first run for Elliott and Paranoid looks to do the same on Wednesday.

Paranoid has arguably shown more on the track than Presenting Dylan did and off a mark of 110 I’d be surprised if he doesn’t improve under Elliott’s tutelage.

A good competitive novice chase that could see Elliott bidding for a treble on the card with Thatsy.

A former point-to-pointer who was a decent novice hurdler last season, he looks to have the size and scope to make a decent novice chaser this term. The trainer as him out early before the real top-class novices emerge and he can pay his way over the next couple months.

He’s my best bet on the card at Galway.
