Horse Racing tips: Frank Hickey’s daily double could spell trouble for Paddy

Frank's back in the ring for another swing.

Frank Hickey

Bangor 13.40 – Wynn House

Wynn House was a £60,000 purchase at the sales and being by Presenting she was always going to appreciate a bit of decent ground. Decent ground is what she got for her bumper debut at Uttoxeter in March 2019 and despite not being that strong in the market, she still got the job done in fine style, finishing off her race very strongly. The 2nd, 3rd, 4th,  7th & 9th all won races subsequently to give that form a solid look.

Wynn House then just failed to win under a penalty at Warwick and stepped up on that form when second in a Listed bumper at Huntingdon last December. Again, that form looks solid with a number of subsequent winners in behind.

She now goes hurdling on the decent ground she will appreciate and the step up in trip to just shy of 2m 4f looks ideal for her. She has a little absence to overcome but if she is fit, she should run well and could develop into a nice novice hurdler for those mares only races this season.

Huntingdon 14.00 – Ajero

Leroy Leroy sets a very solid standard on the back of his win at Southwell over Pink Sheets who has won easily subsequently but he might just struggle to concede a penalty to Ajero.

Ajero is a half brother to Charbel and like Charbel, Ajero started his career with Thomas Mullins before leaving for Kim Bailey. Ajero has only had one start, a bumper in Thurles where he ran a lovely race in third.

Run For Oscar is a decent horse and he was second, just five lengths ahead of Ajero. It was noticeable how well Ajero travelled that day and he is going to improve for another summer on his back. If that proves to be the case, he could take a bit of beating here.
