Horse Racing tips: Your 3 best bets at Kempton on Wednesday night

A nap, next best and each-way play! What's not to love?

The Gill Brothers – 18:30 Kempton (nap)

This is a competitive handicap, but The Gill Brothers makes plenty of appeal back on the all-weather. He was a good winner over course and distance earlier in the year and his latest run back on turf at Sandown wasn’t devoid of promise, again racing keenly and wanting a stronger gallop. There should be plenty of pace on here for him, with the likes of Artistic Rifles, Golden Force and Variyann all likely to be vying for the lead, and The Gill Brothers remains a horse to keep on the right side from a mark of 90.

Emirates Knight – 19:00 Kempton (next best)

Emirates Knight goes well on the all-weather and has some strong form round here, his last win coming over this course and distance from a 6 lb lower mark. He has since run well to hit the frame behind some progressive types at this course since, not beaten far behind the thriving Omnivega over a mile and a half in July.

His run on turf last time can be ignored, weak in the market beforehand and lacking any verve in the business end of the race. That was much more competitive than the handicap he runs in here, though, and he is taken to make his class tell returned to his favoured venue.

War Empress – 20:30 Kempton (each-way)

An open look to this concluding staying handicap, but War Empress could be sharper for her recent comeback run over course and distance and looks well handicapped at present.

She remains a maiden, but her consistency is hard to knock, and she did well to finish as close as she did last time from a poor position. This race looks less competitive and she will be hard to keep out of the frame f coming on for her latest run.
