Matt Chapman’s Daily Double for Saturday’s racing

We’ve got some great racing on offer on ITV Racing today and here’s my double to help you get your weekend off to a flyer on Saturday afternoon at Haydock and Newmarket.

2.05pm Haydock – Danyah

A handicap here over 1m. DANYAH might still have more to offer for Owen Burrows and Pat Dobbs. My selection was third at Ripon last time having filled that position at Newbury the time before. Prior to that he won well at Doncaster and he has a great chance here as a 3-year-old against older horses.

3.00pm Newmarket – Lucky Vega

Another Group 1 in the colt’s equivalent of the Cheveley with the Middle Park over 6f. I’m all over LUCKY VEGA who might not have been suited by 7f last time in Ireland and was unlucky in running even if that is the case.

He proved very useful for Jessica Harrington and Shane Foley when landing the Group 1 Phoenix and conditions look perfect for another big effort from the Irish raider.
