Saturday on ITV has a real mix of UK and Irish racing action with Haydock, Newmarket and The Curragh providing the entertainment.
The two-year-olds are centre stage at Newmarket with the big handicap being the Cambridgeshire and I’ve had a look over all the cards for some best bets for you.
The Royal Lodge Stakes has Cobh as favourite (at the time of writing) after his Listed race win at Salisbury and second to Champagne Stakes winner Chindit at Ascot.
Gear Up won the Acomb Stakes at York wearing down Spycatcher, so this step up in trip should be no problem. New Mandate has an interesting jockey booking with Frankie Dettori coming on board.
Ontario has won a maiden at Galway, but made a lot of the running to be third at the Curragh recently.
PLEASANT MAN is intriguing for Roger Charlton and is the outsider, but I like this horse. He was very raw at Haydock and the best is yet to come from this lad. Cobh has the form in the book, but Pleasant Man is the horse to watch.
The Chieveley Park Stakes has for some time been one of the feature races for two-year-old fillies and a pointer for the future.
DANDALLA won on the July course narrowly beating Fev Rover and was not that impressive, but the form has been franked since. Santosha, the third that day, won at Ascot in group company too. So, it may not have been that bad Miss Amulet showed herself to be a tough one to pass when winning the Lowther Stakes beating Sacred.
Some of the others may well have caught up Dandalla now. Summer Romance has won a couple of sales races and deserves the step up to this. But, Dandalla is the selection in this.
Mehmas is the sire of the moment and he has a couple of the fancied ones in here. Method is the mount of Frankie Dettori, this lad won nicely at Newbury and left a lasting impression that day.
Minzaal was a handful early on, but got it together at York winning the Gimcrack Stakes impressively and the trip should hold no fears.
Supremacy won at Goodwood and Windsor and was especially impressive at Goodwood and gets the nod for Clive Cox.
Lucky Vega had no luck in running last time, but got it right in the Phoenix Stakes the time before for Jessie Harrington. This should suit and Lucky Vega should have no excuses this time.

Here’s what his caught my eye:

The latest racing odds are on PaddyPower.com now13:50 Newmarket – Pleasant Man
The Royal Lodge Stakes has Cobh as favourite (at the time of writing) after his Listed race win at Salisbury and second to Champagne Stakes winner Chindit at Ascot.
Gear Up won the Acomb Stakes at York wearing down Spycatcher, so this step up in trip should be no problem. New Mandate has an interesting jockey booking with Frankie Dettori coming on board.

14:05 Haydock – Alternative Fact
This is a great handicap over at Haydock, where ALTERNATIVE FACT loves the track and handles all types of ground.
Just Hiss and Danyah are closely matched on Ripon form, and both should come forward from that.
Danyah is right near the top of the market, but Just Hiss could be peaking at the right time. Alternative Fact gets the nod for me though.
14:25 Newmarket – Dandalla
The Chieveley Park Stakes has for some time been one of the feature races for two-year-old fillies and a pointer for the future.
DANDALLA won on the July course narrowly beating Fev Rover and was not that impressive, but the form has been franked since. Santosha, the third that day, won at Ascot in group company too. 15:00 Newmarket – Supremacy
