1.15pm – DENSE STAR (nap)

Watercolormemories was an unlucky loser over course and distance on Saturday but she’s got a bit more on her plate here with the 94-rated DENSE STAR (nap). Joseph O’Brien’s filly wasn’t at her best on all-weather last time but a return to turf should suit and her previous effort in Listed class sets the standard.

1.45pm – HALF NUTZ

This would appear to be a tricky puzzle to solve but a chance is taken on HALF NUTZ who is less exposed than most of these. The three-year-old has been in good form this term and won with a bit to spare at Naas last time so with a little more progression on the cards, he could be hard to beat. At the other end of the weights, Caesar’s Comet is another who has been running well and is drawn better than last week when only beaten 2l here.

2.15pm – LADY PRINCESS

Mostly exposed types but LADY PRINCESS is still unexposed after only two runs and could have something in hand after impressing at Bellewstown last time. Tar Heel, Tammany Hall and Hyde Park Barracks could give her most to do.

2.45pm – BOUNDLESS POWER

Na Blianta Beo is the obvious place to start and if she runs up to her best will win but she hasn’t done so on her last three starts, so is opposed. BOUNDLESS POWER is more reliable and coming back to 5f will suit him better than the last twice, so he gets the nod. Ecclesiastical could shake them up if returning to form.

3.20pm – KARBASANN

King Of The Throne is rated 92 and is the one to beat on his runner-up effort to Galileo Chrome but the ground may not be quick enough for him, so KARBASANN, who beat him a neck when runner-up at Dundalk last year, could be value to turn him over. Charlie Bassett has solid credentials, while Tashi isn’t ignored. Yankee Stadium should be checked in the market.

3.50pm – BARON SAMEDI

It is very difficult to oppose BARON SAMEDI here, with him being 13lb well-in compared to his future mark of 92. The one caveat is that the ground today will be much quicker than for his wins. Kells looks sure to run a big race back up to 1m2f, while Lord Park, Brinjal and Multamis are most interesting of the others.

4.20pm – MUFALLET

A typically tricky big field handicap but MUFALLET might be worth chancing. Testing conditions wouldn’t have been in his favour at Leopardstown last time but he had been in decent form prior to that and can go well with conditions forecast to dry out. Neyland has been in good form of late and is another who would appreciate drying ground.

4.50pm – AMARANTHA

The ground is a plausible excuse for the below par effort of AMARANTHA at Bellewstown last time and she’s probably better judged on a previous promising run at the Curragh. Clifftop doesn’t look particularly well handicapped but he might not need to be to hit the frame in what is probably the weaker of the two divisions of this race.
