I’m at Doncaster on Thursday on ITV 3 and am out to try and find a winner or two during the five races broadcast.

So, let’ s see what we can do…

13.40 Sky Angel

Ther action kicks off with a handicap for juveniles over an extended 6f. SKY ANGEL has been expensive to follow but this could be her day for Charlie Appleby and William Buick. Her disappointments at Newmarket mean that she comes here off a nice mark of 81 and there might be more to get out of her now handicapping. Seems to stay 7f no problems.

14.10 Zabeel Queen

Next into Group 2 company with the May Hill over 1m for fillies. No huge rating coming in here and it’s all about promise for most of them. ZABEEL QUEEN is a daughter of Frankel and looked special on her debut at Ascot when winning easily. The Roger Varian runner should stay the trip without an issue and could be very good for Andrea Atzeni.

14.40 Yazaman

Now a valuable sales race for two-year-olds over an extended 6f. On paper YAZAMAN has a great chance although he flopped badly at York last time behind Minzaal. His second to Supremacy in the Richmond Stakes at Goodwood was a fine run and a repeat of that for Tom Marquand and William Haggas should be enough. Marquand continues to impress.

15.15 Alpinista

It’s the Group 2 Park Hill over an extended 1m6f to sort out now. This should be landed easily by ALPINISTA if she repeats her second at York to Love in the Oaks. That was a Group 1 and while she was soundly beaten for Sir Mark Prescott she was far from disgraced. She may well have much more to come for Ryan Tate at this trip as well as she is bred to stay strong.

15.45 Cold Front

And finally on ITV3 a handicap over 7f. COLD FRONT flopped badly at York last time and has no chance on that effort. However, he was favourite for a competitive handicap that day and I can’t help but feel he must be better than that performance suggests. He’s been dropped a pound which is a bonus. Haggas and Marquand again.

So best of luck and pray for Yeeehaaas. You hear me Paddy?
