Hard to oppose DUKE OF MANTUA after such a promising debut at the Curragh. Fight Zone, Magnanimous and Sword Zorro have plenty of experience and undoubted ability.
A tricky event. Several of these are making their handicap debuts and could improve significantly so market moves for them would be a pointer.
TUNED FOR POWER is one of those but has already shown smart form in maidens, while she was too free over 1m last time, so this trip will suit better. Grey Streak, Intervention and Kokura look likely to run solid races.
It is difficult to oppose CHAMPERS ELYSEES here on the back of her very impressive win at Galway last time when she had several of these well behind. She has some fresh up and coming rivals to deal with today, including Pearls Galore, Rocket Science and Parent’s Prayer but should cope with them also. Soul Search and Romantic Proposal can run well.
An interesting race, with top-weight STORMY BELLE appearing to hold obvious claims at a track and trip which she is fully effective over. Lilandra is competitively priced given her form and rating while recent winner Highly Approved and even Capel At Dawn deserve respect.
BLANKIEDOODIE (nap) seems to thrive on racing and, while he has yet to win this season, appears ready to do so after a creditable second at Bellewstown last week. Ivy Avenue proved herself capable in the mud at Killarney and is interesting despite the rise in the weights while Giorni Felice and Scarlet Seymour renew rivalry.
A consistent performer in some decent maidens, DAYLIGHT COME can get his turn today. His cause will be aided by drying ground. Eagle’s Flight was behind him the last twice and can run into place, while Pin Your Hopes and Roundel have the credentials to be involved also. Knight Of Malta is intriguing up to this trip, so watch the market.
Lightning Amber beat Leagan Gaeilge and Spruce Meadows at Leopardstown last time and there shouldn’t be much between any of them today. Pillmakers Hill loves this place, while Bring Us Paradise was a bit unlucky last time and can go well. However, GEE REX steps up to this trip for the first time and it may eke out a bit more improvement. His stablemate Zoom Zoom Babe can go well but is maybe better on flatter tracks.
Having improved over hurdles lately, NIBBLERS CHARM is fancied to get off the mark on the level, with a good Flat run under his girth at Killarney lately too. Rasiym, No Say Ever and Arcadian Sunrise look set to give him most to do, while market support for Accompanied would indicate that a good run is likely.
