Horse Racing tips: 7 from heaven at Sligo on Wednesday

The Racing Post take us through today's card.

SligoRacesJul20a

1.50pm – SHEWEARSITWELL

A bit of depth to this mares’ maiden hurdle. Plenty of these have solid placed form to bring to the table but carry question marks also, notably Floating Around, Robin Des Sivola and Trevena, so SHEWEARSITWELL is selected even though her lack of experience is a negative around this tight track. Bally Dun Liss and the debutante Morning Beatrice represent top yards so have to be respected if attracting market support.

2.20pm – SHE’STHERIGHTONE

The locally-trained Mr Moondance will be popular to follow up his recent C&D win but is 8lb higher today, which will make things difficult. Ciankyle atempts to win this race for the third consecutive year but softening of the ground isn’t in his favour. SHE’STHERIGHTONE looked like an improved mare last time and there should be more to come so she can defy an 8lb rise. Breezy Bell is another to note.

2.50pm – TALK OF THE TOWN (nap)

Friary Rock has the form to go close in this but was bitterly disappointing here last time and blinkers are fitted today. The promising TALK OF THE TOWN (NAP) may have too much for him in any case, after a smart bumper win and decent maiden hurdle effort. Fitness Du Sud needs to improve for going over hurdles but that is possible so he has to be respected, while Hesamanofhisword is proven around here.

3.20pm – GALUPPI

A pretty modest affair. The generally consistent GALUPPI looks likely to run his race and may be able to defy a 6lb rise for his Cork success. Derby De Thaix has also been consistent lately and should run another sound race, while top-weight Electricitywork is capable of going well if near his best.

3.50pm –  BAILY THUNDER

An open affair. If The Trigger turns out again after getting a bit stuck in the mud at Tipperary two days ago, he needs respecting but maybe one that finished behind him at Galway, BAILY THUNDER could improve from that seasonal debut and get off the mark. Pepper’N Salt is interesting on his handicap debut so watch the market for moves.

4.25pm – WALKING ON GLASS

Likely WALKING ON GLASS can take this. He is in proven form after his staying Flat win. Another to consider is Ocean Glandore, who is in good nick.

4.55pm – ERICA’S JOY

The well-bred ERICA’S JOY should be able to leave her debut flop behind in what looks a run-of-the-mill contest. Interesting among the others is Ben Thomson.
