This looks a competitive handicap for the grade and the choice is the unexposed YEAVERING BELLE who is 9lb higher than when winning last time but is still on the upgrade. Rhythm Is A Dancer looks her main threat.

Luck Of The Legion is much respected on her second chase start now sent over a trip that suited her well over hurdles, but perhaps SCHNABEL can make a winning debut for Tom Symonds. Provided he’s fit enough after his break, plenty looks right for him to replicate the form of his second at Huntingdon in October. The Boola Bee and Istimraar are others to consider.

French Flat winner Light In The Sky looks sure to improve on his recent fourth here but the scopey CAPTAIN TOM CAT impressed when galloping away from a subsequent winner over C&D last month and he can successfully concede the penalty. Their rivals are a mixed bag but bumper winner Wbee should have a future over hurdles.

Esprit De Baileys deserves extra brownie points for winning here last time, considering he was in the firing line throughout and yet still found more to repel the late charge of Percy. However, it’s been a long time coming but JOHN CONSTABLE looks ready to return to the winners’ circle after running his best race for ages here 16 days ago. These conditions are everything to him.

Present Chief was well supported to win here recently and though it was unfortunate he bumped into an improved rival he has a fair chance of putting things right here. Things haven’t worked out for Hahadi over fences but if those experiences haven’t left their mark he would make plenty of appeal back hurdling on his second start for this yard. However, Fergal O’Brien has been in great form of late so a chance is taken that HELLO FELLAS can repeat his best staying form on his first run for the stable. Freddy Fanatapan also enters the picture.
