Lucky Beggar hasn’t won since winning over this course and distance in 2017 off a mark of 83 and while he is nowhere near that level anymore, he did place on numerous occasions last season off marks in the high 60’s. He also hit the frame on his last two starts here, both of a mark of 60 which he runs off here. He is vulnerable to anything progressive but if he can get the lead without too much competition, he might be able to run a big race and a nice each way price.
Look Out Louis was a decent 3 year old handicapper last year when winning off marks of 74 & 80. It took him a couple of runs to hit his best form the last two seasons and with this being his 4th start of the season, he might just be ready to peak. He was noted running on strongly here two starts back over six furlongs and the step up to seven furlongs here should suit him. He has a nice low draw which is a positive over the seven furlong track here and he is now off a mark of 75, which is 5lb lower than that last win. He is a fair each way price also.
Flower Power’s last three wins have come at Catterick off marks of 57, 66 & 60 and despite being out of form in three runs this season, he returns to Catterick off a mark of 55. He had shown very little prior to that last win and there is every chance that the return to his favourite track might see him bounce back to form. He is a double figure price and that would appeal with Paddy also paying 4 places here.
