We’re into day four at the Galway Summer Festival and day three of Glorious Goodwood and Ruby Walsh is back with more tips from this week’s special From The Horse’s Mouth, including his NAP of the week.
14:15 at Goodwood – Qaader
Second in the Coventry then fourth at Newmarket behind Tactical and Yazaman, Qaader is the one for me.
14:45 at Goodwood – English King
You can’t really be a member of this podcast team and go against Frank Hickey’s English King, can you? So, in honour of Frank Hickey I’m going to side with English King.
15:15 at Goodwood – Fancy Blue (NAP)
Obviously Nazeef beat Billesdon Brook and Terebellum in the Falmouth Stakes, but I’m a Fancy Blue fan. He’s in rock-solid form and I’m Fancy Blue all the way.
17:45 at Galway – Dime A Dozen
Nothing stands out and it’s a pretty average Grade 3 Novice’s Chase. Obviously, Galvin will run in the Plate, you can’t see him turning up here. You look at the rest of them I mean it’s hard to see these featuring in Novice’s Chases come winter time. I think John Hanlon’s Dime A Dozen, it’ll be short enough for it. I think Dime A Dozen could outstay these.
18:45 at Galway – Buildmeupbuttercup
I think Buildmeupbuttercup is 4lbs better off than Aramon, finishing two lengths behind him at the County Hurdle in Cheltenham, that was over 2 miles and 175 yards. Galway is definitely a tighter two miles with the same uphill finish there is at Cheltenham.
Buildmeupbuttercup won here last year I think at that price, I don’t see how she is longer than he is. She’s 4 lbs better off for two heads and course form and he’s never even run here. I’d say Buildmeupbuttercup is overpriced.
