Goodwood tips: Fancy Blue or Deirdre for the Nassau Stakes? Paddy’s panel deliver their verdict

The Goodwood Festival is in full swing now, and the racing action is coming thick and fast. The Nassau Stakes will be the highlight of Day 3 on Thursday, with all eyes on the exciting clash between Fancy Blue and Deardrie at 15:15.  

Deirdre, the defending champion, having ridden home to victory last year, but will she hold her crown this year? She’s yet to have a win since, but has racked up some impressive performances at Ascot and King Abdulaziz.  

Fancy Blue, on the other hand, has 3 wins from 4 races, but is yet to run at Goodwood. She had a nice win last time out at Chantilly, and will want to continue that form on Thursday. 

With that in mind, Paddy Power, Matt Chapman, Mick Fitzgerald and Ruby Walsh gave their verdict on the big race in a Paddy’s Reward’s Club special and predict who they reckon will come out on top.
