I really like Night On Earth here who impressed me a lot last time at Windsor, and that performance was backed up by the clock. The overall time was quite fast, and wasn’t too far off the juvenile track record which has stood since 2011.
He looks sure to improve again and I don’t really think this is the strongest renewal of the race, with holes in plenty. Night On Earth represents solid EW value for me.
Society Lion looks to have plenty in hand off his mark of 91. The form of his latest 2nd was well advertised over the weekend with the 1st, 3rd & 4th all running well. He made a big move to hit the front inside the final furlong and was only caught late in the day so I am hoping that today he will be able to bag his first win of the year.
A wide open mares handicap hurdle and the one down the very bottom makes plenty of appeal for connections who have a brilliant record at this festival is Millyinthemiddle. She ran an eye-catching race at Kilbeggan last time and the horse that finished just in front of her on that occasion has gone onto win since, so the form has been franked. She’s very unexposed and with the benefit of that run a month ago she should be ready to make her presence felt off a low mark.
He has been a very frustrating horse to follow over the past few years but he showed he still retains ability the last day when just getting touched off in the Midlands National at Kilbeggan. This is only Three Musketeers’ 4th run for Gordon & with Conor McNamara taking 5lb off he could go well at a price.
