Horse Racing tips: The best bets from the ENTIRE card at Cork on Friday

The Racing Post’s tipster has dived into the card at the Irish meeting.

Cork-Racecourse Flat

16:05 Anna Bunina @ 10/11

John McConnell has already been among the winners this week and his ANNA BUNINA can bounce back from an unfortunate departure last time to open her hurdles account.

Guinevere has the potential to show up well in this pretty ordinary affair, while Joseph O’Brien’s newcomer Winter Castle warrants plenty of respect, especially if the market speaks in her favour.

16:40 Yafordadoe

Not many of these count. Gerry’s Way should improve for his hurdles debut at Limerick, while Leopardstown bumper fourth Surmise could easily be good enough on his hurdles debut.

The safe option is dual Flat winner and quite experienced hurdler YAFORDADOE though, although more rain would definitely increase his chance.

17:15 Elegant Lass

A pretty competitive contest. Shanroe has a fair chance of following up, although he will do well to confirm Tipperary form with Lucky Phil under the revised terms. Whatsinthecorner has a decent chance of following up his Bellewstown win off a 7lb higher mark.

Preference though is for ELEGANT LASS (NAP) who has resumed in fine form by winning at Bellewstown, while her second at Tramore last Saturday was enhanced comprehensively on Wednesday by winner Imperial Choice.

17:45 Chead Solas @ 3/1

An ordinary maiden hurdle with seemingly plenty of dead wood.

The only bumper winner in the field, CHEAD SOLAS has been disappointing so far over hurdles but is surely capable of better and is taken a chance on, ahead of Felino De Bersy and two with some solid – if unspectacular – hurdles form in Jack Hackett and Nero Rock.

18:15 Gunfire Reef

Much will depend on the participation of yesterday evening’s facile Limerick winner GUNFIRE REEF, off a much lower mark than he has over fences after Sunday’s Tipperary success.

In the event of him missing this engagement, it could pay to side with Ruler Of Dubai, whose recent Tipperary third over this trip has since been franked by the runner-up winning. Others to consider are Lilly Geal and Celine Soprano.

18:45 Oromo

Top-weight OROMO has been in good form in low-grade flat handicaps, but that came to an end recently and he now reverts to hurdles on his favoured good ground with good prospects of recording a second win in this sphere.

Solid recent efforts give legitimate claims to Naturally Blond, My Lovely Boy and Windsor Vixen, while Seabord is worth keeping an eye on in the market from a yard can have them well forward despite a long absence.

19:15 Shannon Fields

The only question here is whether the 20lb penalty for his gambled on win at Tipperary will be enough to anchor Pilbara.

If so, the one to take advantage could well be SHANNON FIELDS, who made a decent start to his handicapping career when third at Tipperary last month. The step up in trip will suit him well. Rebel Waltz and the unexposed Earl Of Desmond also come into it.

19:45 Finest Evermore

Quite an open look to this fillies bumper with so little form to go on.

FINEST EVERMORE has joined Willie Mullins since finishing second in what appears an ordinary Exeter bumper on her debut but could well improve enough to see off the likes of Kalinda and Annie G.

Bally Dun Liss, Abunchofmemories and Serenisa are all respected newcomers for whom market support could well prove significant.
