Is Glorious Goodwood 2020 on?
Yes, Glorious Goodwood 2020 is scheduled to go ahead in line with government guidelines and could even see the return of spectators to horse racing in the UK.
The final day of this year’s event is scheduled to have 5,000 people in attendance, with around 4,000 Goodwood members being invited to watch. The remaining 1,000 attendees includes support staff, TV crews and hospitality guests.
When is Glorious Goodwood 2020?
Unlike other major events in the racing calendar such as the 2,000 Guineas and Royal Ascot, which are normally scheduled for earlier in the year but had to be moved back, Glorious Goodwood retains its regular spot, starting on the final Tuesday in July.
Despite all the disruption surrounding the Covid 19 outbreak, one of the highlights of the British Flat racing season, Glorious Goodwood, starts on Tuesday 28th of July and runs to Saturday August 1st, giving us 5 days of cracking racing.
Where can I watch Glorious Goodwood live and free?
ITV Racing will be covering all five days of the 2020 Festival, showing five races a day from 13:45 to 15:45.
There will be plenty of mouth-watering action on show at Glorious Goodwood 2020, with the Sussex Stakes, Goodwood Cup and Nassau Stakes being the most prestigious races.
What famous horses are in contention at Glorious Goodwood 2020?
Irish 2,000 Guineas winner Siskin is the ante-post favourite for the Sussex Stakes but Summer Mile champ Mohaather will also be in the hunt for that one.
The mighty Stradivarius is expected to try and make it four in a row in the Goodwood Cup and will be hard to stop but Aidan O’Brien’s Santiago could be lining up to take a shot.
Bataash is also expected to make an appearance as he looks to take the King George Stakes for the fourth consecutive year.
