If THATBEATSBANAGHER (NAP) can translate his recent chase form to hurdles, he’s obviously well handicapped back in this discipline and is the one to beat. Plenty in here hold each-way claims including Naturally Blond who showed improved form last time and Hopefully who should have more to give in handicaps at some stage.

Having looked a sure-fire winner approaching the last at Tipperary last month, ELEGANT DAN was reeled in late by Lord Lariat, but finished well clear of the remainder, including fourth-placed Just Call Me. With the winner having since followed up, David O’Brien’s charge could be the one to beat now.
Pak Army remains unexposed over hurdles and with Davy Russell booked has to be respected. China Princess was unable to justify market support last time but is surely capable of better, while the veteran Fleurys Fort showed a bit more last time and could be on the way back.

An interesting rematch between CORNERKOVA and Imperial Choice, separated by only half a length at Kilbeggan last month. The latter started favourite then, not for the first time, and seemed not to handle the track as well as the selection, who was having her first start in a handicap and probably has more scope for improvement. Recent shock Bellewstown winner Elegant Lass has a 10lb hike to overcome but this sharp circuit should suit the front-runner.

A few of these look like potential improvers over fences, notable Jessica Harrington’s Thegoaheadman who’s best forgiven his run last time out but preference is for DOMMAGE POUR TOI who sets a decent standard and has already achieved more than the rest of these over fences.

A tricky race to complete the card but SHES FLAT TOTHEMAT shades the vote following a respectable third on her return at Kilbeggan. She may be able to continue her progress this summer. The main danger to the selection could be My Oakclahome who has made a promising start to his chase career and shaped like he needed the run when fourth on return.
