Parikarma was successful on her handicap debut at Yarmouth over seven furlongs last season but seemingly failed to stay a mile when comfortably beaten on her final start of the campaign.
She also found little over a mile on her reappearance at Doncaster last month but was much improved at the same course last time, benefiting from the drop back to seven furlongs.
She travelled powerfully and made eye-catching headway but was unable to seriously threaten the impressive winner.
She was nicely clear of the third, however, so looks well treated off the same mark, while the good form of trainer Ed Dunlop is another positive.
Ubettabelieveit produced a promising effort when finishing fourth at Doncaster on debut and he showed much-improved form when getting off the mark at the same course on his second start.
He clearly derived plenty of benefit for that initial outing and looked a smart prospect when storming clear inside the final furlong last time, impressive when in full flow.
There could be even more to come from him and he can improve past Eye of Heaven, who has the best form on offer but needs to bounce back from a disappointing display at Royal Ascot.
Life Matters didn’t show a great deal in maiden company but he produced a much-improved performance to finish runner-up on his handicap debut at Kempton last month.
The form of that contest has worked out well, with the third and fourth both winning since, while the winner found only a nice prospect too strong on his subsequent start.
Life Matters looks well treated off just a 2 lb higher mark and should still have more to offer. He shouldn’t be underestimated on his first start on turf.
