Not only does MAMBA WAMBA have the best form after running well in the Queen Mary, but she’s also likely to improve for this extra furlong.
Susucaru made a positive start at Pontefract when backed into favouritism and she’s the danger.
18:00 The Grey Bay
A maiden handicap in all but name. THE GREY BAY has a solid chance on the back of his reappearance effort and he gets the vote over Rusalka, who is another major player on form.
Several others may be capable of improvement at this level and a market check is worthwhile.
18:30 Moretti @ 16/5
Kingi Compton has to be of interest after running so well for his new connections at Redcar but the suggestion is MORETTI, who was unlucky not to win here last week over 6 furlongs and is better at 7 furlongs.
19:00 Magnetised
The leading form contenders are debut winners MAGNETISED, Confide and Rogue Assassin in that order of preference. Magnetised looks the one with the highest potential and he gets the vote.
19:30 Montather
Easily the two most solid contenders are the Dubawi colts MONTATHER and One Idea in that order of preference.
The selection sets a useful standard and may settle better with his reappearance under his belt. Newcomer Artistic Vision needs a market check.
20:00 Aiden’s Reward @ 7/2
Last week’s Leicester winner Rosa Gold looks a big player if taking to this contrasting track, but a solid alternative is AIDEN’S REWARD who has a good record since upped to 1m and ran well here most recently.
Carriesmatic and She’s A Belter are other likely players on handicap form, while Herbert Pocket is interesting in first-time headgear. A few others are open to improvement now handicapping and any market moves should be noted.
20:30 Broctune Red
This looks a fine opportunity for BROCTUNE RED (NAP), who has low mileage for a five-year-old maiden and he’s in the best form of these.
Travel Lightly may need further these days but could still make a race of it.
21:00 Kitty’s Cove
The two solid ones are assured stayers in good form, namely KITTY’S COVE and Nearly There.
Marginal preference is for the Easterby mare, who will feel right in the groove after running so well only four days ago. Ateescomponent should also be involved over a trip that promises to suit.
