Bright Eyed Eagle shaped well behind a smart sort on debut last season and improved further despite probably not being suited by heavy ground at Newbury on her final start in 2019. He proved himself a useful prospect, though, when making a winning handicap debut after eight months off at Goodwood last month, stepped up to a trip more in line with his breeding. The way he quickened in the final furlong suggests he is a well-handicapped horse, and a subsequent 2 lb rise in the weights very much underestimates him.
Vischio is a promising sort who is progressing gradually, putting up her best effort stepped up to this trip at Lingfield last time. That form has been franked since, and Vischio left the impression she would have been suited by more emphasis on stamina in a race with a messy gallop. She raced in mid-division after being bumped at the start, and was noted doing all of her best work at the finish, closing all the way to the line. Vischio clearly figures on a handy mark, and with further improvement on the cards, she remains one to keep on the right side.

Yimou is a real speedball who caught the eye on his recent reappearance over six furlongs here last month, shaping as though he would be better for the run. He typically helped force a strong pace, edging left in the final furlong before understandably getting tired. All three of Yimou’s wins have come over six furlongs, but he definitely has the speed for the minimum trip, goes well at this track, and is well up to winning more races from this sort of mark.
