14.10 Bath – Dreamboat Annie
This selection is a bit left field, as Dreamboat Annie has ben more miss then hit in the last year or so. She did finish third beaten half a length at Lingfield in January, so the ability might still remain but I think the return to turf could be the key to her and if I’m correct, then she is a big price in a race that is full of inconsistent types.
Her last turf run was October 2018 at Leicester when she was fourth off a mark of 66 and she was placed here on her previous turf start off a mark of 63. She is rated 42 now and is three pounds wrong but the return to turf might well see her bounce back.
15.40 Bath – Real Estate
This is a competitive little handicap over five and a half furlongs but Real Estate was extremely unlucky on his last run here last week, when getting squeezed for room at a crucial point of the race. He ran on well when getting out in the clear to finish third beaten just two lengths but he may well have won with a clear run.
He had improved over the winter on the all weather winning three on the bounce between December and January and seeing his rating go from 65 to 78 and the last run here should him improvement has transferred to turf and the revised mark of 78 isn’t beyond him. Hopefully he gets a strong pace to aim at and if he does he might get back to winning ways.
17.00 Wolverhampton – Magic J
Magic J could never get near Bunjee Jump on his reappearance at Newmarket on Guineas weekend, when there was a massive advantage on being on the front end but he wasn’t disgraced in second and was really strong in the market too, going off 13/8 favourite
It was a fair run considering her was keen enough and the drop to five furlongs here could see him get him get his head back in front. The form of the race has been working out well also, with Bungee Jump finishing second at Listed level on her next start and the third won next time out. Oisin Murphy is booked and a big run looks on the cards.
