When is the Epsom Derby 2020?
We should already have enjoyed the Investec Derby 2020 at Epsom Downs, with it usually scheduled for the first Saturday of June every year. However, because of Covid-19 it’s been pushed back a month and has a new start time. Traditionally a 16.30 start, the 2020 Derby sets off 25 minutes later at 16.55 on Saturday 4th July.
Where can I watch The Derby 2020?
The legendary Group 1 race – along with all races in the UK and Ireland – will be available to watch completely FREE through the Paddy Power App and on PP.com. All you have to do is join or sign in and you’re set. You don’t even have to have a bet! Alternatively, all 7 races are on Racing TV and the last 6 will be on ITV.
Who are the contenders for 2020 Derby?
Widely regarded as one of the most prestigious Flat race in the world, the Derby always attracts the best horses from across the globe. While international entries might be limited – what with everything’s that been going on over the last few months and all – it’s still going to be a high-quality affair.
English King is the early favourite and now has the legend Frankie Dettori confirmed to be his jockey for the Derby. They look set to be a fearsome pair and will be the ones to beat. Kamenko and Military March are the next best, according to our traders while Mogul, Russian Emperor and Palace Pier will fancy their chances after running at Royal Ascot.
