Paddy’s Hall of Fame: 4 straight Curragh winners land €14,181 Lucky 15

What a way to start the weekend - one lucky punter reeled off four straight winners to close Friday evening at the Curragh and pocket over €14,000

With the ‘magic’ of the cup failing to spark over the weekend it was down to racing to provide a sprinkle of stardust for Paddy’s plucky punters – and it did not disappoint for one lucky fellow from Letterkenny in Co. Donegal.

We’ve all a hard-luck Lucky 15 story – not mentioning any names (Annie Power) but sometimes they’ll break your heart, which is what makes landing all four picks in a 50p effort (total cost €7.50) all the sweeter when it comes off.

That’s just what happened for our wily wagerer at the Curragh on Friday evening – and it nabbed a spot in the paddy Power Hall of Fame to boot! There won’t be a fish milked in the North Atlantic this week.

Their four selections romped home to payout a frankly fabulous €14,181 – that’ll give you the Friday feeling for a week or two at least – with a streak of consecutive winners from the 6.15 to the final race of the evening an hour-and-a-half later.

First up, it was Aunt Bee, taken at a stonking 16/1 earlier in the day and who went off at 7/1, who withheld pressure from behind to give our punter their first win of the evening.

Just 30 minutes later it was two-for-two with Gee Rex rising to justify starting as 4/1 favourite in the 6.45, and again this shrewdie had snared some value with a backed priced of 11/2.

DON’T MISS:

Music To My Ears, certainly wasn’t that for Paddy in the 7:15 as she upset the field with a storming 18/1 winning run to bring in the third leg of this quality quad before Tonkinese tonked Paddy again – 9/1 this time – to make this Lucky 15 live up to the name and make it a jubilant June weekend in Donegal.

Those four winners together added up to a 20,994/1 shot if combined in a fourfold acca, thought the €14k return on a Lucky 15 won’t have this punter complaining.

Meanwhile, Paddy’s probably going to have to wait a couple of weeks for that haircut. Think it looks better this way, tbh.
