A fab three to finish this morning's Hong Kong racing

9.40am – Lobo’s Legend

Chairman Lo was too keen for his own good last time, blinkers are dispensed with and replaced with first time ear plugs. He can have a say in this if settling better but LOBO’S LEGEND is taken to claim a long overdue first Hong Kong win. He races off the same mark as he did when keeping on well over C&D last time, Joao Moreira takes over in the saddle and connections try a sheepskin noseband for the first time.

10.15am – Decisive Action

Cheerful Leader has acquitted himself well in Class 3 company and a breakthrough win doesn’t look far away. It is interesting that Joao Moreira has ridden him in all five of his most recent starts but gets off to ride lightly weighted DECISIVE ACTION. Dennis Yip’s 4yo looks to have improved for the step up to 1m and scored in style here last month. A 10lb handicap rise will make things harder but he can take the rise in grade in his stride.

10.50am – Dan Control

Glorious Spectrum has now finished runner-up four times in seven Hong starts, after getting pipped on the line last time. He can give another good account but may have to settle for a place again behind lightly raced DAN CONTROL. John Moore’s 4yo chased home Ten Sovereigns in a 2yo Group 3 event when trained in Ireland and made a winning Hong Kong debut last March. He can build on a solid comeback run a fortnight ago and claim victory here.
