Arthur’s Kingdom (Aidan O’Brien)
A Camelot colt who got off the mark at the third time of asking when readily seeing off Zoheyr by a length and a half in a maiden at Gowran Park in October, he then had his sights raised in no uncertain terms.
He lined up in the Group 1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud 12 days’ later and ran a blinder to finish second to Mkfancy, beaten three lengths but only taking second in the final 75 yards. That last start came over 10 furlongs, but he may well get further which will open a lot of doors.
He’s engaged in the Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial at Leopardstown on Tuesday, June 09 and if he performs well there, also has an entry in the Irish Derby.

Jessica Harrington has an abundance of high-class three-year-old fillies, but this isn’t one of them. Yet.
It took this Galileo filly three attempts to break her maiden, scoring over seven furlongs at Leopardstown in October. She then attempted an international raid in a Listed heat over a furlong further at Newmarket the following month, when fourth to Born With Pride.
The winner let the form down in the Classic Trial at Kempton on Wednesday, but to be fair she was slowly away, and this filly has only ever encountered soft or worse ground so it will be intriguing to see how she gets performs on a faster surface. She’s entered in the Leopardstown Fillies Trial on Tuesday and the Kerrygold Irish Oaks.
Dance Jupiter (Joseph O’Brien)
The connections of Paddy Power Irish Lincolnshire favourite Patrick Sarsfield were so impressed when this fellow beat theirs in a Cork maiden in October that they later bought the winner.
That Cork victory was his second outing, having finished fifth in a Kilbeggan maiden on his debut in August, which was a better effort than it looks on paper as he missed the break and was soon detached in the rear, but ended up only being beaten by three and a quarter lengths.
He built on that to score at Cork, where Patrick Sarsfield was an odds-on poke, and the form was given a massive boost when ‘Patrick’ hacked up by four lengths on his next start. Dance Jupiter has proven himself on ground with a bit of ease over around a mile.
Leagan Gaeilge (Brendan Duke)
This Vocalised filly is trained by Curragh conjuror Brendan Duke and could have a nice Premier Handicap in her this season – she’s entered in the Paddy Power Irish Lincolnshire at her local track on June 12.
She sprung a 33-1 surprise when scoring in the Paddy Power ‘Only 364 Days Till Christmas’ 3-y-o Maiden Hurdle at Leopardstown in December, when Duke said beforehand that she would run well but experience might just catch her out and she looks very well handicapped off a mark of just 80 on the Flat.
She’s probably improved since just being done for second in a fillies’ premier handicap at The Curragh last May and she’s been placed in two starts from two at that venue and been a fairly close fourth and won in two outings at Leopardstown.
Woody Creek (J A Stack)
This Fozzy Stack-trained four-year-old could well land a Listed or Group race this term and was arguably unlucky not to do so in 2019 after unbelievably being a wafer-thin runner-up on three consecutive outings in such company in June, July and August.
The best of these efforts came in the Group 3 Phoenix Sprint Stakes at The Curragh in August, when going down by a neck to Gustavus Weston. Two months’ later the Tipperary trainer launched an audacious raid on a Canadian Grade 2 and she performed creditably, only finishing fifth but coming home only two lengths adrift of the winner.
She seems equally adept over five and six furlongs and her handler seems to think seven is also within her compass as she’s entered in the Gladness Stakes at The Curragh. Her two victories have come on good and good to firm, but her Phoenix Sprint effort was on soft.
