ClairefontaineMay20

10.40am – Imperatorio

IMPERATORIO has two attempts for two placing’s. Last start second Lyon-Parilly beaten 4L in a similar grade. May go close. Recuerdame made a promising start to her career finishing third beaten 3L at Dieppe. Can race forward. Skip Chop will appreciate both a grade drop and come on with experience following a sixth in Lyon-Parilly maiden. Improvement might be found with Pammy Buchanan after disappointing at Dieppe on debut when in the market.

11.10am – Xaario

XAARIO was a strong second on debut when favourite at St Cloud. Extra distance may suit. Horse to beat. The Jean-Claude Rouget trained Darkness profiles nicely as a debutante. Consider if market support. Choco Charly can come on following his first run at St Cloud. Include. All other runners are making a racetrack debut. Look for any market push. Perhaps Dream Composer for a place.

11.40am – Cherie Amour

CHERIE AMOUR is trained by Andre Fabre and started odds-on delivering a third Deauville 21 May. Can improve and is the one to beat. Tokyo disappointed when in the market at Chantilly 13 May. Could progress for the experience. Two debutantes have interesting profiles so look for market support. Perfect is trained by Jean-Claude Rouget whilst Chiri Tsubaki is well-bred and has a Japanese trainer currently in France.

12.10pm – Moujik

Strong race where a case can be made for most runners. MOUJIK has one run this season producing a progressive third St Cloud 1600m. Great Deal raced clear in his maiden win 1600m at Angers last month whilst Oxalis did win on debut but failed in G3 company. First up for this season. Andre Fabre presents Mazagran who may improve whilst Kyara De Lune might place.

12.50pm – Esperitum

Very competitive race where value will be found. ESPERITUM maintains a good record over the distance and has been finishing close-up at this level racing in stronger contests. Dhevanafushi and Kylhead were consistent in similar contests and both rate each-way. Place chances include Saga Timgad J’Aurais Du and Mille Sabords.

1.25pm – Measure Of Time

MEASURE OF TIME could win. Well bred Coolmore owned Andre Fabre trained and is one start for one 1800m victory Fontainebleau in November. Hard to find a danger. Maybe look at Green Spirit, Glory Maker and Baratin to fill the placings.

2pm – Dream Word

DREAM WORD is a maiden however has shown some ability notably at this trip and at this level. Chance for a first win. Incampo ran well at Lyon last month finishing third beaten 3L over 2400m. Fitter. Include. Tres Belaffair has been placed over the distance and will appreciate the grade. Each way. Both Look Back and Frame face easier rivals dropping in class.

2.35pm – Asterios

There are plenty of chances with the best performing runners currently at the top of the weights. ASTERIOS has been placed or close up past four including in stronger contests. Likes to race near the lead and overdue another win. The form of Walec is better than may look on paper. Go on a head second at Cagnes three runs back and has a good record over the trip. Senator Frost finished second two starts ago and is consistent. Place chances are many including Wonder Boy and Senepark.

3.10pm – Rebelle Bailly

Open race with many chances. REBELLE BAILLY deserves another win having finished second past four attempts in handicaps. Shamdor is filling a placing including in stronger races. Right in the mix of prospects. Mazeltof has won two of the past four including Chantilly last start but faces a further weight rise. Others to consider include Domagnano, Latinius and Gaetano Donizetti.
