0-60 Handicaps are not for everyone, so it’s a good thing we have Group 1 racing on offer from Deauville on Monday.
The Poule d’Essai des Poulains or French 2000 Guineas is the 14:50 at Deauville and it sees the best three-year-old French colts take each other on over straight mile.
VICTOR LUDORUM shaped like he needed the run in the Prix Fontainebleau three weeks ago, but since a slow start to the racing restart Andre Fabre is now operating at 23% and is 7/4 to win his eigth Poule d’Essai des Poulains.
Ecrivain finished second in the Prix Fontainebleau and appears to be the wise guys horse of the race, but the stable has zero winners from 12 starts since the racing restart and some of his form is open to debate.
The latest international racing odds are on PaddyPower.com nowThe fillies contest is the Poule d’Essai des Pouliches (or French 2000 Guineas) at 15:25 and we like Andre Fabre’s TROPBEAU after she won the Prix Grotte.
The other filly we like on the trading floor is MARIETA, she has some top form last year finishing second to Jessie Harrington’s Albigna on Arc day at Longchamp.
She is likely to lead here, making her own pace and may prove too much to be reeled in.
