Horse Racing Tips: 6 to do the trick at Tampa & Laurel Park this evening

Land of the free, home of the brave - and hopefully a few winners for you tonight

Tampa Bay R1 (17:35) – #4 Credit Cycle @ 7/4

Credit Cycle (7/4) was below form last but a wide trip wasn’t ideal and his prior efforts put him in with a good chance. He should get enough pace in this opening contest to set him up his late kick. Early Deligh is the pick of the opposition, while Striking Heir makes up the shortlist.

Tampa Bay R3 (18:38) – #10 Strict Vow @ SP

Strict Vow was clearly amiss when finishing last of ten over course and distance in April and is worth giving another chance to. She does have a wide draw to overcome but jockey Antonio Gallardo is a good man to have on your side in such situations. Wicked Witch may be the one to put up most resistance.

Tampa Bay R8 (21:15) – #7 Sixty Cent @ 2/1

There’s little public form to go on in this 2-year-old maiden, so analysis of trainers and pedigree is vital. Sixty Cent (2/1) makes plenty of appeal on both counts, hailing from a barn that boasts exceptional numbers with first-time-starting juveniles. The selection’s dam is a four-time winner and she should be ready to roll at the first time of asking.

Laurel R1 (17:40) – #1 Cold Sweat

Cold Sweat’s form on dirt sets a fair standard for this field to aim at and he should really be taking this weak maiden claimer. His last pair of efforts are best forgiven as they came on turf and he is a much better performer on this surface.

Laurel R2 (18:10) – #6 Dynamic Miss @ 9/4

Dynamic Miss (9/4) was a good runner-up over this distance when last seen and can go one better in this turf contest. She’s also proven when fresh so the 232-day layoff is nothing to worry about. Main danger Stiva was an impressive winner on dirt last time and has a couple of pieces of turf form that make her of interest.

Laurel R5 (19:41) – #8 Runs For Luck

Runs For Luck was claimed out of his latest race by an outfit that does exceptionally well with this sort of acquisitions. He should be forwardly placed throughout and can make a winning start for his new connections. Daystrike can come out best of the rest.
