Horse Racing tips: Wednesday’s best bets for every race at Tampa Bay

The Racing Post's top tipsters mark your card.

18:00 – I am a. Luring @ 13/8

I AM A. LURING won’t get many better opportunities than this to shed the maiden tag and this could be her time to shine. Biz Maker and Alexacrat are the main dangers in a weak heat.

18:30 Sunset Empire @ 15/8

SUNSET EMPIRE is used to keeping much better company than this and can gain a confidence-boosting success before stepping back up in class. Put Position isn’t without a good chance at this level and joins Speeding Starlet on the shortlist.

19:00 Fly Nightly @ 10/3

FLY NIGHTLY makes most appeal in here because he drops from allowance company and remains open to plenty of improvement at this stage of his career. Drillomatic and Dizzy Sight are other interesting contenders.

19:30 Prized Warrior

PRIZED WARRIOR was denied by a nose here when second on his first run after a gelding operation at the beginning of the month. That represented a step in the right direction and he can get off the mark this time, possibly at the main expense of Finally and Old Fort.

20:00 Queen’s Embrace

QUEENS EMBRACE has won her last four on the bounce, including in this grade over track and trip, and she could prove tough to stop here. Real Doozie has gone well on her last three runs but was behind the selection two starts ago, while Volador is relatively unexposed and was far from disgraced latest.

20:30 Prison Padre

Cpl. Dionicio was not far behind Nicole Munnings last time and is likely to push the front-runner close again, but this could go the way of PRISON PADRE. Antonio Machado’s gelding was behind Cpl. Dionicio on a sloppy track two starts ago but atoned for that with a good win last time and could follow that up.

21:00 French Getaway @ 7/2

FRENCH GETAWAY  won a claimer similar to this one at Santa Anita two starts ago and though he struggled in a Grade 3 last time, the return to this level of competition could see him bounce back. Blue Sky Kowboy and Hope Again could prove the main dangers.

21:30 Celestial Orb @ 3/1

Suzie Its You won well on debut and might be able to get back on track, while Wowee has been a model of consistency and must be respected. The latter was behind Sold On Salsa two starts ago, though, and she in turn was beaten by CELESTIAL ORB last time. William March’s mare could confirm that form and strike.

22:00 Ever Smart @ 10/3

EVER SMART was well beaten on debut but came on leaps and bounds for that run when filling the runner-up spot last time. She can take the spoils here ahead of Pure Rhythm, who has a similar overall profile to the selection, while Completed was a very expensive purchase and could be useful first time out.
