Gulfstream Horse Racing US dirt

17:45 Bella Bionda @ 6/1

BELLA BIONDA was impressive when shedding the maiden tag last time and connections clearly feel she’s got a great chance in this claimer because they’ve booked Luis Saez. I’m Prayingforthat and Holly Hill must also be considered.

18:15 King Wade @ 13/2

KING WADE debuts for a new barn in this maiden claimer and, on recent form, looks well up to it. Privilegio is capable in such company and joins Bulkcarrier on the shortlist.

18:45 Like You @ 11/2

A select, but competitive claimer in which we have a slight preference for LIKE YOU, who seems to be holding his form well at present. Chances can also be given to R U Lucky, a model of consistency, and Gran Casique.

19:15 Voodoo Zip @ 11/4

VOODOO ZIP is going to win a maiden special weight of this nature sooner rather than later and, under Luis Saez this time, he can get the better of Unrighteous and Opus North.

19:46 Geonosis @ 8/11

If GEONOSIS returns in the same form as when a good third in a much more valuable 6 1/2f event here in December, then he should take some beating on the downgrade. If he needs the run, then Dazzling Prose and Red Fog look most likely to capitalise.

20:16 Music of Life @ 4/1

MUSIC OF LIFE scored over this C&D in a more valuable claimer in her latest and, although this looks more competitive, she could follow up with a repeat performance. However, Isla Road, Niko’s Dream and Hotsy Totsy all drop in class and must be feared.

20:49 Quenane @ 13/2

While Squeezadios had a few of these behind when a neck second latest and the unexposed Sniper Shot warrants the utmost respect now upped to in trip. QUENANE rates the one to beat after completing a hat-trick in a similar C&D event when last seen in February.

21:21 So High @ 13/8

Rijeka had Duc De Calais behind when successful over this track and trip two starts ago, but struggled over shorter here last time. The return to this distance should suit, but Jonathan Thomas appears to have an interesting British import in SO HIGH, who won over this trip for John Gosden last year. He is taken to shrug off a lengthy absence.

21:52 Phat Man @ 3/1

PHAT MAN numbered Eye Of A Jedi among his Grade 3 victims here before returning to run a blinder in the Gulfstream Mile, beating all bar Mr Freeze. Just Whistle was a solid second last time, but Spinoff could be the main danger because he ran in all the top three-year-old races last year and will step forward from last month’s return.

22:24 Miss Munnings @ 11/4

This is the first time that Dark Artist has dropped out of stakes company for quite some time, but lack of a recent run sways the vote in favour of MISS MUNNINGS. John Kimmel’s consistent filly was on a real roll prior to performing with credit in a Grade 3, and she can resume winning ways. Traipsing also merits respect.

22:55 Distinctly Blue @ 12/1

Catharsis fought off Awsum Roar over track and trip but may have to play a supporting role this time behind DISTINCTLY BLUE, who has hit the crossbar the on the last couple of occasions and deserves to get her head in front. Throw Twice As Magical and Free The Beast into the mix as well.
