BETWEENHEREANDCOOL finished well clear of the reopposing third, Seventysevenwilow, when a good second over 7f here last month. A 10-time winner over this shorter trip, he is fancied to go one better today. Americano also filled the runner-up berth latest and rates the biggest threat.
SINDARIUS arrives on the back of a good third in a better contest over further and, with the drop in trip no concern, he could make the most of having his sights lowered here. Tiz Approved ran out a facile 7f maiden winner here second time out, though, and poses a big threat with further progress expected. Highwaytwentyseven completes the shortlist.
THE STIFLER made all in a similar C&D event last month and may take some catching as he bids for a double today. That said, he only held Zitman by a head that day and that rival can ask serious questions again, along with Honest To Goodness.
ATLAS MOON should be able to make his presence felt in this company and, debuting for a new barn, he gets the nod ahead of Mozano and Hay Hay My My.
SUNSET EMPIRE looks well treated at this claiming level on the pick of her form, and this could be the time to catch her. If the selection falters, the likes of Lil B Quick and Alluring Approval will be there to pounce.
A few in with chances here and while there isn’t one that leaps off the page, it could be worth taking a chance on ELUSIVE RYDER who might be on offer at decent odds and rarely runs badly. Colonels Daughter and Unabridged are others expected to go well.
DARK WEB has taken minor money on both starts since returning to action, showing plenty of dash, and the slight drop in distance could work the oracle. Expensive Style wasn’t all that far behind him last time so has to be considered a danger, and Evidence isn’t out of it either.
ON A SPREE has proven consistency personified in recent months and gained a deserved success when winning with a bit to spare here last month. He looks well berthed to gain a prominent position and can prove too strong for Projected and Fast Fire.
R NEXT ROLL drops significantly in grade and she boasts enough back class to suggest she could prove difficult to beat. Animauxselle finished runner-up in a stronger event over seven furlongs here last month but has yet to win over this distance, while Kupuri has finished runner-up on her last two starts and looks the pick of the remainder.
Dreaming Of Paris and Natoma have both shown enough to warrant an interest, while Freedom Lass made the frame in a minor stakes event last year and her comeback was encouraging. Christophe Clement has his string in great order, though, so it could be worth chancing his newcomer WHISKEY SONG.
