Wes Wards confuses matters slightly by unleashing two youngsters here but GEM THIEF, with Irad Ortiz Jr in the plate, has shown a little bit more in her workouts than Tharos so she gets the nod. Awesome View offered encouragement on debut and is expected to step forward from it.

Chic And Sexy was a position and half a length in front of TAKE CHARGE AGAIN when runner-up over track and trip, but Jane Cibelli’s filly is more likely to back the performance up so can improve past her rival. Cherorama and Varsovia were just behind them last time, while Miss Mac is interesting.
19.41 Garner State Park @ 5/2
Caribbean Kitten’s two placed efforts at Fair Grounds earn her a place high up on the shortlist, but GARNER STATE PARK has also shown plenty of potential when picking up minor honours twice here and she is favoured. Formula got no luck at the start on debut and should show more now.
20.13 Bad Beat Brian @ 8/1
BAD BEAT BRIAN has joined Todd Pletcher since disappointing over a mile here in March and with little competition for the early lead, it would be no surprise if he adopted positive tactics under Luis Saez and proved tough to peg back. Bourbon Currency has finished runner-up on his last three starts and ought to be thereabouts with the class dropper Digital Footprint also respected.
20.45 Celtic Brotherhood @ Evs
CELTIC BROTHERHOOD was only caught close home when finishing runner-up on debut over track and trip in March and he could prove tough to catch granted any normal of improvement from a favourable gate position. Victory Town has reached the frame on his last two starts and may prove the biggest danger ahead of the newcomer Grainger County.

HEIR BALL had Fiber Optic (third) behind when runner-up over track and trip last month and a reproduction of that effort could suffice. Midnight Miracle has finished runner-up on her last three starts and looks the pick of the remainder.
21.48 Four K’s @ 9/4
FOUR K’S hacked up in a more valuable 7f event here three starts ago and, back down in class and returned to dirt, he gets the nod over Memorize and Worth Avenue.
22.19 Bean Counter @ 7/4
Big Tina landed a similar C&D event from BEAN COUNTER last time out, but isn’t forced to repeat that much improved effort and the safer option may be the latter, who is consistent and unexposed. Augusta Moon had a few of these behind when a good second latest and is another to consider.
22.49 Flora Fantasy @ 10/11
FLORA FANTASY bids for a C&D hat-trick after two impressive wins and rates the one to beat again, with Royal Meghan and Gioielli feared most.
23.19 Champers @ 4/1
CHAMPERS has shown enough in better events than this at Santa Anita to suggest he could get off the mark today. This is competitive, though, with the likes of My Chitu, Koko Star and Metcalf all in with a shout as well.
