Horse Racing Tips: Paddy Power Trader’s five to follow at Tampa Bay Downs tonight

How will these five get on in Florida?

US-Racing-Tampa-Bay

5.24pm – PRIVILEGIO @ 5/4

The opener at Tampa Bay is a 10k maiden claimer over 7 furlongs on the main track with the betting suggesting it’s a two-horse race.

Row the Boat is exposed with no victory from twelve career starts to date and steps up in trip following to recent starts at Tampa.

However, Privilegio is our selection following a good third here in March and it’s only a positive that Samy Camacho remains in the saddle.

5.52pm – EXPLOSIVE PACKAGE @ 10/3

Another low-grade affair for our second race of the night where the short-priced favourite, Langue Liee looks opposing.

She was only beaten a neck over course and distance last month but has failed to hit the target yet from 12-careers starts.

Explosive Package is the pick at the prices having finished third in five starts and drops slightly down in grade tonight for trainer Derek Ryan.

6.23pm – TAOS @ 11/8 (NAP)

The first of two runners on the Tampa Bay card tonight for trainer Eoin Harty is Taos in the 8.5-furlong claimer with Samy Camacho booked to ride.

He had Drillomatic in behind when second here in March and could give the boys in blue a winner here.

Eoin Harty had two winners from four runners in the past two weeks which is another positive and it’s hard to look beyond the favourite.

6.52pm – LA BELLE DE COURSE @ 15/8

Diamond News will be popular with Samy Camacho in the saddle for this 25k claimer over 7 furlongs, but the small step-up in trip is a concern.

La Belle De Course is another with solid form in the book and gets the vote here for trainer Brenda McCarthy and jockey Gary Wales.

She’s a lightly-raced filly open to more improvement with the extra furlong playing into her advantage here tonight.

7.56pm – CATTLEYA @ 7/4

Darien Rodriguez only raced three horses at Tampa Bay in April, recording two winners and a second, and newcomer Cattleya represents him in this 5.5-furlong maiden claimer.

Strand De Oro is overly exposed with the lightly-raced Merengue drawn nicely on the inside rail.
However, Cattleya for Rodriguez and jockey Antonio Gallardo will hopefully follow in the footsteps of stable-mates Tiz Approved and Jost Dreamy by securing a maiden claimer here at Tampa.
