7.15pm – FRESH ONE @ 6/4
It’s hard to look past Fresh One for trainer Greg Eidschun and jockey Ry Eikleberry in the opening maiden claimer over 5.5-furlongs. This race won’t take much winning and three-year-old has shown enough to date to get off the mark tonight. I Dub Tree looks exposed with True Shipman the main danger with Lane Luzzi in the saddle.
8.15pm – NOVEMBER MIKE @ 11/4
An open maiden special weight over the one-mile trip for our third race on the card with November Mike our selection. The Scott Young, Lane Luzzi combination is always respected, and it might be worth giving him one last chance tonight. He’s been racing against better opposition last year and was a good second when last seen over this one-mile trip last December – last chance saloon.
9.15pm – WHISKEY FACTOR @ 10/11
The step up in trip should benefit the chances of lightly raced West Coast Broker for Boyd Caster and Ken Tohill. However, it’s time for Whiskey Factor to get off the mark dropping into maiden claimer company tonight. He’ll be raced forward by Ty Kennedy and will have no trouble with the trip having raced against better opposition of late.
10.15pm – MIGHTY VISION @ 7/1 (Betting-Without Hallies Dream)
Hallies Dream deserves the favourite tag following two second-place finishes of late here at Will Rogers. Dakamo Rose is open to further improvement following a good third in a 21k maiden special weight, but Mighty Vision is our each-way pick. It was an encouraging run when third on debut and Scott Young has had 11 of his previous 14-runners within the past two-weeks either win or placed.
