There has been very little between MARKISTAN and Mystic Comin Home on their last couple of outings, with the pair picking up minor money both times, and Jorge Delgado’s filly is marginally preferred to confirm her latest superiority. Crystalina is interesting on her first start since leaving Todd Pletcher.

18:45 Gulfstream – PALACE TWO STEP @ 5/2

PALACE TWO STEP is progressing nicely and only went under by a neck in a $30k claimer last time. There is the promise of more to come, but she probably won’t need to improve on that performance to take top honours here. Cat’s Astray and Ballie’s Dream could be the ones to chase her home.

19:15 Gulfstream – KRACHENWAGEN @ 2/1

KRACHENWAGEN had Chase Runner two lengths behind in second when completing a double over track and trip last month and is difficult to oppose on that evidence. Unbridled Holiday is entitled to improve on his comeback effort and looks the pick of the remainder

19:46 Gulfstream – RAG TAG @ 5/1

RAG TAG was sent off a warm order after finishing runner-up on his first two starts and although he failed to fire then, his earlier efforts suggest he can land an event of this nature and Todd Pletcher’s colt looks worth another chance. Gray’s Fable and Holy Meister both arrive on the back of a string of consistent efforts and look the pair to step up if the selection flops again.

20:17 Gulfstream – NOT NOW RAND @ 8/1

NOT NOW RAND sauntered clear to score by nearly six lengths over an extended five furlongs here earlier this month and is difficult to oppose after such a dominant performance. Poseiden shed the maiden tag at the second attempt and could have more to offer while War Act ran out an impressive winner over a similar trip last time and is respected.

20:48 Gulfstream – SEIZE THE HAY @ 10/3

SEIZE THE HAY beat Holy Emperor to the runner-up berth when making an excellent start to his career here, with Mecha Corta back in fifth, and Todd Pletcher’s colt is fully expected to get off the mark now. Turn Of Events and Freedom’s Flight are also considered.

21:21 Gulfstream – FRONT LOADED @ 15/8

FULLY LOADED paid his way in stakes company in the winter months and a repeat of his last couple of efforts at this sort of level may be good enough here. Mark Casse moves Brass Compass to Florida in an attempt to get him going, with South Sea and Noon Time Gem also respected.

21:53 Gulfstream – MINTD @ 10/3

MINTD makes most appeal because this talented filly defied a lengthy absence to score on her comeback at Tampa last month and Brendan Walsh has booked top pilot Tyler Gaffalione for the ride. Always Shopping is interesting on her return for another potent trainer/jockey combination and High Road should also be taken seriously.
