Horse Racing Tips: 6 runners who could storm Gulfstream on Saturday

Here's six of the very best just for you

Gulfstream-Park

18:15 Gulfstream – Markistan @ 5/2

On the dirt over five-and-a-half furlongs here and we are going money back as a free bet if you are second, third or fourth in this race. MARKISTAN has been a model of consistency lately, second or third in her last four races. Jorge Delgado’s filly was unlucky to run into a very smart type last time out. The selection ran a career-best on that occasion with excellent sections. The red-hot Tyler Gaffalione is on board and she looks the one to beat here and it’s tough to see her finishing out of the first four.

19:15 Gulfstream – Chase Runner @ 5/2

There’s one mile on the dirt ahead of the runners here and we are giving customers a free Power Up if you have a £/€10 single on this race. Krachenwagen and CHASE RUNNER are very closely matched on the form of their recent clash over course and distance 22 days ago. On that occasion, Krachenwagen took advantage of Chase Runner drifting and pounced along the rail to score. Chase Runner is drawn in stall one here and if Edgard Zayas can keep the four-year-old on the rail he has an excellent chance of turning the tables and gaining revenge for career victory number four over this trip.

19:46 Gulfstream – Palace Kitten @ 11/1 E/W

On the turf this time for this mile clash. We are paying four places here, so it’s worth taking a chance with the lightly-race four-year-old PALACE KITTEN. The selection is debuting for the William Downing barn and has been reportedly working well since joining. is getting better with each racecourse experience and, if further improvement is made by the new handler, the selection is very capable of being involved here at a decent price.

20:48 Gulfstream – Lexatoga @ 8/1 E/W

Our next extra place race is the seventh on the card and on the turf over a mile. Seize The Hay and Holy Emperor a very closely matched on the form of their latest clash, but with the four places on offer a chance is taken with the well-related newcomer LEXATOGA. The selection is a half-brother to the prolific Swinging At Siro’s. Trainer Claude McGaughey has an impressive strike rate at this venue and it would be no surprise to see this well-bred debutant involved at the finish.

21:53 Gulfstream – Mintd @ 5/1 E/W

Another mile event on the turf and we are also going an extra place here. There was a lot to like about MINTD’s American debut win at Tampa Bay Downs 42 days ago. That victory came after a long lay off and suggested there is plenty more to come. The selection had previously been trained in Ireland by Willie McCreery and had winning form around Listowel against excellent opposition. The recent victory at Tampa Bay proved that this daughter of Olympic Glory maintains plenty of ability and she can follow up here for Brendan Walsh and Tyler Gaffalione, who is a significant jockey booking.

22:57 Gulfstream – Hidden Fact @ 9/2 E/W

This is over the flying 5 furlongs on the turf. The race is likely to be won and lost at the start as many of these sprinters like to get out early and dictate. HIDDEN FACTS couldn’t overcome a terrible draw last time out over course and distance. Brian Lynch’s four-year-old filly has a much better draw today and she should go close if she breaks well for Angel Rodriguez. She’s a worthy each-way play against this opposition with four places being paid.
