Horse Racing tips: Timeform’s best six bets at Will Rogers and Tampa Bay tonight

6.30pm Tampa Bay Downs –  Blazing Brooke @ 2/1

With a fast pace looking on the cards in this claimer, Blazing Brooke should get a good trip just in behind the main speed.

Second in a stronger contest than this over course and distance last time, a repeat of that effort ought to be enough to see Kathleen O’Connell’s filly go one better.

8.30pm Tampa Bay Downs – Jack B Winkle @ 10/3

Jack B Winkle didn’t show a great deal for his new barn last time, but that race was much stronger than today’s, and his high-percentage trainer looks to have found a much better opportunity here.

Devil’s Rule also drops in class a little and may provide the stiffest opposition.

8.45pm Will Rogers Downs – Rubber Bandman @ 5/2

Rubber Bandman broke his maiden impressively over this course and distance on his penultimate start and was then far from disgraced when fifth in a stronger race than this last time.

He should put up another good showing, with the small drop in class very much in his favour.

9pm Tampa Bay Downs – Strict Vow @ 9/4

Strict Vow was a little out of her depth in starter allowance company last time and today’s drop in grade should show her in a much better light.

My Little Rosy heads up the shortlist of the challengers, while Jackies Dream has been largely consistent of late and should also be on the premises.

9.45pm Will Rogers Downs – Cypress Point @11/4

Cypress Point has yet to match the best of her synthetic/turf form on the main track, but there’s no reason why she shouldn’t ultimately prove just as effective on dirt, particularly based on pedigree. This is a competitive contest, but Karl Broberg’s filly comes here at the top of her game and gets the vote to break her main-track duck.

10.15pm Will Rogers Downs – Elijah Anet @ 7/4

Elijah Anet’s recent neck second here is worth upgrading considering the fast pace he set in front, and he can go one better with the likelihood of easier fractions this time around. Allluvial Fan, Okie Note and Ranger Bob can fight it out for minor honours.
